My philosophy

I believe that each of us has the capacity for healing, no matter what we have been through.

I believe that our most painful life experiences can offer a portal to deep growth and transformation.

I believe that suffering is a part of human existence, that it’s hard to be a person, but that we can learn tools to relate differently to our experiences of suffering and find peace within ourselves.

I believe that modern society’s fast pace and cultural conditioning have created a disconnect from our deepest selves. We have been conditioned to strive for perfection, productivity, and success at all costs, and in the process, we have lost touch with our essential core goodness, our inherent value, simply for existing.

I believe that the path towards healing is often simple, but not easy, that it is a continuous journey and not a destination to attain.

I believe in the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship. Therapeutic modalities are valuable and important, but the relationship that is built between therapist and client is where the magic happens.

Rachel Grossman, LCSW

I consider the work that I do sacred.  Witnessing the inner world of another is an honor and a privilege.  My intention is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that allows for the shedding of masks that are often worn in the world at large and permission to be vulnerably and unapologetically one’s true self.
